Memoir Writing

Everyone has stories to share.
We show you how.

You’re not ready to “write a book?” There’s an easier way

Turn your favorite family stories into something that lasts. When you bring those stories to life, you give present and future generations a chance to learn about your family’s history and culture, and become part of your family legacy.

The Essential Story Collection

Our memoir writing classes can launch your project. Over several weeks, we work with you to create a short list of personal essays from a carefully curated list. These essays are collected into the Essential Story Collection. Learn simple techniques to organize your project, and mine your history for pivotal events.

Create a collection of stories that are funny, meaningful and can be shared with your family. Classes are offered frequently throughout the year via Zoom. For current class listings see Events section below.

The Legacy Story Collection

We work with you to complete an essential story collection and create an important family keepsake. We know that people with continued purpose and meaning in their life live longer. If you’d like to take the next step, we work together to expand your basic personal history collection through additional writing, focused on your personal legacy.

Where do you start when building your career and raising a family are no longer your priority? What are the important pivot points in your life? Recalling these “pillar” events – which many people may have forgotten – can give us a framework for thinking about the future.

Our package includes two one-hour sessions; concept development of up to three additional memoir essays; client to produce final text
